This room was so dark - it was difficult to focus.  This school near one of the satellite clinics consist of three rooms with one small window per room.

20 of the 34 town wells in Pignon are non-operable.  Some must be chained to prevent pumping the wells dry and damaging the hand pumps.  CCH hopes to repair the 20 wells this fall.

Hiking up Mount Pignon.  A trip tradition.  We start before sunrise and hike up to the crest  - it is a good hard scramble the last hundred yards or so - but the reward is an incredible vista of Pignon and the valley.

Pignon at night.  A new generator runs the street lights for a few hours every evening.  The lighted areas become gathering spots for the residents of village.

HBP has one of the lowest infant mortality rates in Haiti a 17/1,000 births compared to the National average of 254/1,000.
