There was a magnitude 5.9 earthquake off the northern coast of Haiti on Saturday October 6, 8:11pm. You can read more details from the USGS news report, but rest assured, all of CCH’s staff and facilities are unharmed. We are based in the city of Jacmel, Haiti, on the southern coast of the country. Staff and volunteers in Jacmel did feel a little movement from the earthquake, but it was mild. Thank you for your concern and your prayers. Please pray for folks in the north who did experience more damage, including some deaths and injuries.
