A big “mesi anpil” to everyone who walked or donated to Hike 4 Haiti on March 29, 2025. CCH hosted an in-person event at Lake Accotink in Springfield, Virginia, and virtual participants in their own hometowns. We invited folks to Walk with Us for 4 miles, to come together to raise awareness and funds for CCH’s critical healthcare, education, and community development work in Jacmel, Haiti.
This is the first year for this event, and we had 78 in-person walkers, 16 virtual walkers, and 5 sponsors. Thanks to generous donors, Community Coalition for Haiti raised $26,115.95 to continue treating clinic patients, supporting communities, and educating children in Haiti.
Why 4 miles? Demontreuil is a community of thousands located 4 miles from CCH’s Primary Care Clinic in Jacmel. Here, families face significant economic and social challenges. CCH partners with the “OCASE” farming co-op and EMEVO Primary School in Demontreuil to provide leadership development, teacher training, and other essential resources that meet immediate needs and strengthen the community. For residents of Demontreuil, 4 miles is often the distance they must walk to reach CCH’s Clinics—an essential lifeline for healthcare.
