During this week in Haiti we will be assisting CCH clinic staff to run school-based health check ups at a CCH partner school near Jacmel. We will also be doing construction work to renovate programmatic office space at our new facility.
For the school clinics, we will be working with doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, but we’ll also utilize other non-medical people to record heights, weights and other information. Volunteers with experience in painting, plumbing, electrical work or painting are also needed for the office renovations.
The team will stay and eat meals at CCH’s Isaiah Guest House in Jacmel. Please review the CCH Travel Handbook. CCH’s Director of Operations, Kate Conrad, is the Trip Leader (kate@cchaiti.org) and can answer further questions or add you to the list of trip participants.
Anyone who wishes to collect supplies for these school based clinics or CCH’s PT rehab center, we have a “wish list” of needed supplies which can be viewed/downloaded here. If you plan to fundraise to help cover your CCH trip fees and airfare, you can utilize the Everyday Hero fundraising platform, contact Kate for more details.
Travelers must purchase airfare on their own to arrive and depart in these windows (so that the entire group can utilize the same in-country transportation)
